Hamilton legend B.A. Johnston has returned with the follow-up to 2017's Gremlins 3. A new record titled The Skid Is Hot Tonight will arrive on February 22 via Transistor66.
The album — B.A. Johnston's 12th full-length studio effort — was recorded in rural Nova Scotia and was produced by Mathias Kom of the Burning Hell. It features drums by Jon McKiel and guitar by Joel Tong.
According to a press release, the new record was made out of necessity. It reads:
After seeing her son's name in print in the Globe and Mail and reading about Hamilton being the new Brooklyn, B.A. Johnston's Mom has grossly misinterpreted her son's success and has raised the rent for his basement bachelor apartment (separate entrance) drastically.
As always, there are some crafty song titles, including "I Miss 90s Hash," "We're All Going to Jail (Except Pete, He's Gonna Die)," "Flinstones Vitamins and Jamesons," "Discounted Bacon" and "This Hangover Has Legs."
