Folk Music Ontario (FMO) has unveiled the nominees for this year's Ontario Folk Music Awards — a celebration of the incredible contributions of folk musicians across the province set to take place on October 15 at London, ON's Aeolian Hall.

Aysanabee, Digging Roots and Julian Taylor lead the pack with two nominations each, while the likes of Barbra Lica and Madison Violet are up for Song of the Year and Lenka Lichtenberg and Shakura S'Aida are among the Album of the Year nominees. Abigail Lapell and Amanda Rheaume are up for ACTRA RACS Recording Artist of the Year, while YAO and the Fitzgeralds have been named as contenders for Performing Artist of the Year.

Now in its 29th year, a select number of Ontario Folk Music Awards nominated artists will perform at the ceremony, which will close out the annual Folk Music Ontario Conference — running from October 12 to 15.
