While the pit bull debate got more than a little heated in Montreal recently, Guns N' Roses and AC/DC frontman Axl Rose has now stepped into the fray.
Over the weekend he sent out the following tweet, effectively reminding us that "Dog's Lives Matter":

As the New York Daily News reports, the Civilian Complaint Review Board recently substantiated charges against the police officer for the shooting. Along with substantiating abuse of authority complaints, the CCRB recommended that Cuesta be retrained. The NYPD will take the agency's findings into consideration when it reviews the case.
At this point, Cuesta remains on active duty, while a lawsuit has been filed by the dog's owner, Yvonne Rosado.
