Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently in Australia, where drummer Chad Smith performed in Melbourne twice this week: once in a stadium with a capacity of 53,000, and another time at an open mic with 17 people in the room.
Smith reportedly swung by the city's Cherry Bar yesterday (February 8), where he sat in with a couple of local musicians to perform covers of AC/DC songs "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)" and "Up to My Neck in You."
Local drummer Seth O'Donnell posted a photo with Smith on Instagram [via Louder], writing, "Got to play drums in front of my idol @chadsmithofficial from the @chilipeppers, then he played them with my sticks (and broke them), and then I got to hang with him."
Below, watch Smith perform an extremely spot-on version of "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)."
