If you're a 2000s pop-punk fan and you feel like you've ascended to heaven today, nobody can really blame you. Avril Lavigne just teased the genre's equivalent of an Avengers-level event — a collab with Paramore's Hayley Williams.
After spending New York Fashion Week taking in catwalks and chatting it up with fellow pop stars, including Janet Jackson and Kesha, Lavigne told Women's Wear Daily that she met Williams for the first time at one of the shows.
"I can't believe our first time meeting was at a fashion show," she said. "She's amazing and I'd love to collab with her one day."
Despite still going strong with Paramore — the trio shared an excellent sixth studio album earlier this year — Williams has never shied away from taking on collabs solo.
Recently, she's had a guest spot on Taylor Swift's latest album Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and has also been very vocal about wanting to work with SZA as of late.
Lavigne has also had a busy (and collaborative) year between boob flickin' at the JUNOs, joining Canada's Walk of Fame and teaming up with Miranda Lambert for a surprise concert.
Keep your eyes peeled for a duet from the queens of pop-punk coming up.
