The Avril Lavigne renaissance continues. Yesterday, she got her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame — and, in a full-circle moment, the singer-songwriter donned the same hoodie she wore on her first trip to the Walk of Fame two decades prior.
Lavigne was welcomed onto the Walk of Fame in a ceremony on Wednesday (August 31). During her speech, she revealed a photo of herself on her first trip to Hollywood, when she wore a hoodie featuring the phrase "Skateboarding is not a crime."
She then put on an identical-looking hoodie, which she said was "for good luck and good vibes." It's presumably not the exact same hoodie, since this one appeared to be in new condition, but it's an excellent replica. She made a TikTok showing the identical hoodies; that can be seen below.
Lavigne was accompanied by fiancé Mod Sun, and additional speeches were made by John Feldmann and Machine Gun Kelly.
