Fox Searchlight has announced an open casting call to find the man to play Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace in the biopic of his life, aptly called Notorious.
As of Sunday, August 12 at midnight, www.biggiecasting.com will begin accepting uploaded videos from potential Biggies. (Funnily enough, the company lists itself as "an equal opportunity employer," but methinks they won't consider everybody...)
Directed by George Tillman (Soul Food), the film will tell the life of the rapper's life, from his rise to infamy and fame in New York to his untimely 1997 murder in L.A.
Co-executive producer Violetta Wallace, Biggie's mom gave a statement directed towards the prospects, saying: "There will only be one Christopher Wallace, but I'm happy that his legacy will open a door for another to walk through. I don't want you to just imitate him. I want to see his swagger, his style, his energy and smile come through."
