Montreal QC September 25 to 28

Montreal’s favourite fringe-pop band opened the show for Hawksley Workman in true style. Awkward, modest and sounding superb, the Arcade Fire introduced new fans to their unique and eclectic multi-instrumental sound. Trying to be as inoffensive as possible, TAF did their thing regardless of what response they received. The singsongs between the male and female vocalists were off-centre and brilliant, reminding of the best of Belle and Sebastian.
