Antiseen

The south rises again with the re-release of the first two Antiseen singles, "Drastic" and "E.P. Royalty," in volume one of TKO's "Vault Of Antiseen" series. Fans of their later material can witness just what a beardless Jeff Clayton and his band-mates were up to in 1985-'86. Although these destructo-rockers are always raw, these 14 tracks are raw in the unpolished early-days kind of way. Out of the two singles the second sees them coming more into their own and even digging into some of their southern fried country rock roots, especially on "Ruby, Ruby, Get Back To The Hills," which is one of the highlights of this disc. No Antiseen collection would be complete without this.
