All Tomorrow's Parties has a knack for roping in the biggest bands in indiedom to curate its festivals, with 2010 curators including Pavement and Belle and Sebastian. Now, ATP has announced the curators of its May 2011 event in Mineshead, England: Animal Collective.

In addition to headlining the event, Animal Collective have chosen all of the acts performing at the thee-day fest, which runs from May 13 to 15. A total of 19 artists have been officially announced so far from a final list that will feature more than 40. Among the bands already on board are Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Gang Gang Dance, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Broadcast and the Meat Puppets. See the full list below.

In an announcement on ATP's official website, promoter Barry Hogan said, "I always wondered what kind of mixtape Animal Collective would put together, so we are really stoked that they are climbing into the curating hot seat at Butlins next May, where they will headline and curate the festival, which includes the likes of Lee 'Scratch' Perry and Gang Gang Dance from an already eclectic mix of 40-plus acts."

As the festival is being held at Butlins holiday camp, tickets also include a place in one of the venue's apartments. If you purchase before November 5, you will get an early bird price of £145 ($235.92) per person for a regular room or £155 ($252.19) per person for a self-catered room.

This announcement marks the end of the hiatus that Panda Bear discussed last year. Since then, he is set to work on a series of singles, Avey Tare has released a solo album and the band have designed their own shoes.
