After popping up at a Portland open mic in July, André 3000's latest filming commitment has seen him and his Mayan flute head to Cleveland, OH, to appear in Noah Baumbach's screen adaptation of White Noise.
The Outkast icon's involvement in the film was first reported by the Cleveland Scene and confirmed by Pitchfork, though his specific role in the film has yet to be revealed.
The Scene reports that the artist born André Benjamin has been spotted in the city playing the flute and taking photos with fans, a few of which you can find below.
Baumbach's adaptation of Don DeLillo's 1985 novel White Noise — presently titled Wheat Germ — was previously reported to star Greta Gerwig and Adam Driver. Those cast members were revealed upon the announcement of the director's multi-year deal with Netflix this past January.
André 3000's aforementioned open mic appearance coincided with production of Kelly Reichardt's Showing Up, which began in the Portland area in June.
