You'd better start thanking Alexisonfire. With their latest self-titled release, they may just be able to save Canadian hardcore. From those first amazing riffs on "44.Caliber Love Letter” which slowly grow into a treasure of sing/scream attacks, you know that this band is deserving of all the praise they have received in the underground scene.

If the hauntingly beautiful melodies of "Polaroids of Polar Bears” still haven't convinced you that Alexisonfire deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as some of today's emo-core heavyweights, then check out their live show. These guys are tight, creative and one of the best local bands I've seen play in a while.
