AIDS Wolf

Perhaps it was hometown fever, or the fact that it was guitarist Myles Broscoe's last show before his permanent departure to England, but AIDS Wolf were in fighting form at their second Pop Montreal showcase. As usual, the band were energetically boisterous, playing a set that was theatrically fluid but, at times, overwhelming. Vocalist Chloe Lum is the band's queen of crazy stage antics and she made a point of screaming her non-language in a more abrasive way than usual. Still, this blasé attitude is a pretty good encapsulation AIDS Wolf's avant-noise motto: They'll do what they do, and they don't give a fuck if you don't like it.
