AFI

"I Hope You Suffer" (video)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 30, 2013

Dark and dour rockers AFI have fit their moody new "I Hope You Suffer" with a suitably sullen new music video.

The black and white video treatment plays things basic, with singer Davey Havok marching down a foggy hallway to perform the goth-tinged cut with the rest of the group. There are some artistic flourishes too, via some cloudy backdrops, but mostly we see an anguished Havok choking out his lines in slow-motion.

You can feel his pain down below.

"I Hope You Suffer" is the first single from AFI's ninth LP, Burials, which hits stores October 22 via Republic. The band also have a North American tour on the horizon, and you can see the show info over here.
