Published Jun 28, 2017Dave Rosser, a guitarist for the long-running alt-rock group, the Afghan Whigs, has passed away at the age of 50. He died following a brief battle with colon cancer.
Rosser joined the band for their reunion in 2011, playing on their albums Do to the Beast and the recent In Spades. He had also played guitar alongside Greg Dulli in the Gutter Twins.

Dave Rosser passed away peacefully last evening surrounded by love. Thank you to all who kept him in their hearts. He is forever in ours.
The band is set to embark on a tour in support of In Spades later this year, though it's as-yet unclear if Rosser's passing will affect their plans.
