Aesop Rock

'Cat Food' (EP stream)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jan 5, 2015

In December, indie rapper Aesop Rock released a toy called Whiskers the Undead, and the skeletal kitty came with two previously unreleased songs on a 7-inch. Now, those tracks have been disseminated more widely.

The songs "Cat Food" and "Bug Zapper" appear on the newly issued digital EP Cat Food. Along with the two rap songs, the bite-sized collection includes instrumental versions of both tracks. The darkly ominous "Cat Food" was produced by Blockhead, while the weird and squelchy "Bug Zapper" was produced by Aesop himself.

Stream the songs below, via Spotify. The EP can be purchased on iTunes.
