What's Your Number?

Hollywood darling Anna Faris stars in What's Your Number?, another forgettable, paint-by-numbers rom-com that's slightly redeemed by her improvisational skills and comedic timing. After being dumped by a vegetarian hipster (Zachary Quinto) and fired by her finger-smelling boss (Joel Mchale) on the same day, Ally (Anna Faris) reads an article in a magazine revealing the average number of men women sleep with in their lifetimes. When Ally realizes that her number is nearly double the national average, she embarks upon a quest to track down her ex-boyfriends in an attempt to find one that's marriage material so she doesn't surpass the magical number of 20. She also enlists the help of her man-whore neighbour, Colin (Chris Evans), to assist her in tracking down her exes, and even if you have an I.Q. equivalent to how many men Ally has bedded, you'll be able to guess the outcome of this raunchy, yet unremarkable rom-com. Besides a few note-worthy television star cameos from Community's Joel Mchale, SNL's Andy Samberg and Parks and Recreation's Chris Pratt, the film doesn't deliver the laughs despite the fact that Anna Faris's drunken rants are entertaining to sit through. The extended version is jam-packed with crude sex acts and jokes, however it only adds more unwanted minutes to the already bloated screen time for a movie about an insecure woman who can't seem to keep her legs closed for a day. The special features on the disc include deleted scenes and if Chris Pratt in a fat suit dancing for five minutes doesn't amuse you, then it's best not to waste any more time on What's Your Number? than you already have.
