The ongoing question of what Seinfeld might be like if it were brought back has become so commonplace that it has already been approached with multiple layers of ironic detachment, and yet the concept still has legs thanks to a new mashup video that imagines a dark David Lynch reboot of the series.
In 2017, Lynch successfully avoided pandering by delivering Twin Peaks: The Return — a new season of his beloved '90s series that was so labyrinthine and confusing that it developed a cult following all its own.
Now video editor Dominick Nero (who brought us a wonderful mashup of Step Brothers and The Lighthouse last year) has reimagined Seinfeld as a confusingly bleak work of art just like Lynch's Twin Peaks reboot.
