Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have shared an update, after revealing earlier this week that the couple had both tested positive for the novel coronavirus COVID-19.
Hanks posted a photo of him and his wife to social media, thanking everyone in Australia who has been taking care of them.
"We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else," he wrote in the caption. "There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness."
He continued, "We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?"
He closed by quoting his famous line from A League of Their Own, saying, "Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball."

Hanks was originally in Australia to film Baz Luhrmann's Elvis Presley biopic. In the film, Hanks plays Presley's manager.
