A TV adaptation of Tegan and Sara's High School memoir has been in the works for a couple years now, and the show has now found its leads.

TikTok twins Railey and Seazynn Gilliland will be playing the leads. A press release notes that Railey will play the more "gregarious, confident" Tegan, while Seazynn is the "reserved" Sara. The Quin sisters are 15 in the 1990s time period the show is set in.

Cobie Smulders (of How I Met Your Mother and the MCU) will play their mom Simone, and Kyle Bornheimer (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) will be Simone's boyfriend (who acts as a father figure to the twins).

It's being produced by Amazon Studios along with Plan B Entertainment. Tegan and Sara are on board as producers. The show will be on Amazon's free IMDb TV streaming service.
