After last year's nail-biting Stranger Things 4, fans are doubtless eager for the show's fifth and final season — but we'll all have to wait a bit longer than expected, since the show is "pressing pause" amid the writers' strike.

"We're pressing pause until the strike is figured out," actor Finn Wolfhard told Entertainment Weekly. "I think I'm really antsy to start because I'm a fan of the show, first and foremost."

Meanwhile, Wolfhard is spending his strike-induced downtime playing PlayStation, saying, "There's an insane amount that I haven't played in the last little while." Perhaps Finn should consider getting a Nintendo Switch — The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is breathtaking.

Meanwhile, the writers' strike has received widespread support throughout the entertainment industry. Musicians who have stopped by the picket line to lend their support include Flavor Flav, Imagine Dragons and Weezer.
