There are countless tragedies and atrocities going on all over the world and, as per usual, the White House is spending most of its time worrying about what's happening on television. Days after Roseanne Barr was fired for her racist rant, Samantha Bee is now in trouble for insulting Ivanka Trump on Full Frontal.
On a recent episode of her TBS talk show, Bee ranted about ICE's controversial practice of separating undocumented parents from their children. She then pointed out Ivanka's ill-timed photograph of herself and her daughter.
"Ivanka Trump, who works at the White House, chose to post the second most oblivious tweet we've seen this week," Bee said. "You know, Ivanka, that's a beautiful photo of you and your child, but let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad's immigration practices, you feckless cunt!"
It was a C-bomb heard around the world, and one that ruffled numerous feathers. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders called the phrasing "vile and vicious," adding, "The collective silence by the left and its media allies is appalling. Her disgusting comments and show are not fit for broadcast, and executives at Time Warner and TBS must demonstrate that such explicit profanity about female members of this administration will not be condoned on its network."
Responding to the controversy, Bee apologized to Ivanka Trump on Twitter.
