The wait for Season 2 of The Witcher is getting more excruciating by the day, but Netflix has finally thrown us a bone. Today the streamer unloaded the first teaser trailer for The Witcher Season 2.
The clip was revealed today during the last day of Netflix's Geeked Week, but before you get your hopes up too high, the teaser is incredibly brief. In fact, it's only 12 seconds long. That said, it shines a light squarely on Freya Allan's Ciri, who — spoiler — is set to become a seriously OP badass.

In addition to the Season 2 teaser, Netflix also confirmed today that it's teaming up with CD Projekt Red — the increasingly troubled video game developer behind Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher — for WitcherCon, an event inspired by both the series and the game that will take place July 9.
Previously, Netflix teased Season 2 with an image of Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, but so far, no firm release date has been set.
As previously reported, production on the upcoming season began last August, but the pandemic has slowed everything down — not to mention Cavill suffering an injury.
