The long-rumoured Tiger King scripted series appears to be in the works with Nicolas Cage appearing in the titular role as Joe Exotic.
According to Variety, the actor will make his small screen debut in an eight-episode series produced by Imagine Television Studios and CBS Television Studios.
American Vandal's Dan Lagana is set to direct the project, which will be based on an article published last year by Texan Monthly titled "Joe Exotic: A Dark Journey into the World of a Man Gone Wild."
