Certified movie star Michael B. Jordan is quickly becoming an unstoppable force in Hollywood. With numerous franchises under his belt as an actor, his expanding resume will soon include a spot in the director's chair as he works toward another Creed sequel.
The series, which sees Jordan enter the world of Rocky Balboa, has already had two successful iterations. The first was directed by Ryan Coogler, with the second helmed by Steven Caple Jr. Now, it looks like Jordan will get a turn behind the lens.
News of the project was buried in a new Deadline report about the next James Bond film. While Jordan hasn't confirmed his plan to direct just yet, a deal is reportedly being hammered out.
This isn't the first time the possibility has been mentioned. SlashFilm points to a Men's Health interview last year, where producer Irwin Winkler said, "I promised Michael B. Jordan that he'd get his chance to direct Creed III.... Last year in a conversation with our Creed star Michael B. Jordan, I offered him the opportunity to not only star in, but also to direct Creed III."
If this does pan out, it will mirror Sylvester Stallone's relationship to the original Rocky franchise, which saw him direct the third film.
