According to reports, Perry died after drowning in the hot tub at his Los Angeles home. Authorities were called the house Saturday (October 28) at around 4 p.m. Foul play is not suspected.
Perry was best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the sitcom Friends. He also acted in films like The Whole Nine Yards (2000), Serving Sara (2002) and 17 Again (2009). Just last year, he published a memoir titled Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir.
Perry was raised primarily in Ottawa. He also spent time living in both Montreal and Toronto. His mother Suzanne was press secretary for Pierre Trudeau, and Perry went to school with Justin Trudeau.
