Martha Stewart Bravely Admits to Wishing Death Upon Friends So She Can Date Their Husbands

But she insists that she hopes they would die "not painfully"

Martha Stewart is hard as hell. And while there's no easy-to-follow, deliciously buttery recipe for embodying all that the lifestyle mogul and television personality brings to the party, honesty is certainly a key ingredient: in a new interview, she admitted that she has wished some of her friends would hurry up and die already so she could date their husbands.

The host that drew such an admission out of the stony (and single!) Stewart was, of course, Chelsea Handler. On the latest episode of the comedian's Dear Chelsea podcast, she grilled 80-year-old Stewart about her love life.

"I had two mad crushes in the last month, which is really good for me," Snoop Dogg's renowned co-host shared. "But it turns out, you know, one of them is married to the mother of some friends of mine and I just — he's so attractive."

Handler then warned her that she "can't be a home wrecker," to which Stewart responded by insisting that she's never been the other woman — even when she was given the opportunity. She's just a gals' gal! Stewart also insisted that she has no trouble meeting men, but, "they're all married to friends of mine or something like that."

Handler sympathized: "Well, it's very difficult because I think there are certain ages we go through where it's very tempting because you wanna believe that, 'Oh, maybe this relationship that they're in is temporary."

"Or maybe they'll die," Stewart said. "I always think, oh gosh, couldn't that person just die?"

The comedian clarified that she meant the wife (which, in this not-so hypothetical, is also Stewart's friend, remember?).

"Yeah! Not — not painfully," Stewart assured graciously. "Just die… but it hasn't worked out."

What a shame! Thoughts and prayers.
