Hugh Grant Thinks 'Joker' Was Way Too Loud
"Am I old or is the cinema MUCH TOO LOUD? Unendurable. Pointless."
Published Oct 14, 2019It feels like every new day brings with it a new way for someone to complain about Todd Phillips's Joker movie. Today, the baton has been passed to Hugh Grant, of all people. His take? It's too damn loud.
The Paddington 2 charmer went to see the twisted, society-shaming film at his local Vue Cinemas somewhere in England. After the film was over, he wasn't perturbed by the violence or the possible sociopolitical messaging. Instead, he was pissed off about the loud noises.
He responded with a string of tweets that are most impressive in how they precisely convey a Hugh Grant voice in words:
Am I old or is the cinema MUCH TOO LOUD? Unendurable. Pointless. @vuecinemas— Hugh Grant (@HackedOffHugh) October 5, 2019
Thanks @vueHelp. But you don't know which cinema I was in. So how can you pass it on?— Hugh Grant (@HackedOffHugh) October 6, 2019
