Here's the New Trailer for the 'Saved by the Bell' Reboot

A.C. Slater, Jessie Spano and, um, California Governor Zack Morris are back

Whether you think it's a good idea or not, the Saved by the Bell reboot is very real, and it's headed our way. To get you a bit more prepared, we've got a new trailer to judge.

Following a brief teaser this spring, we get a much bigger look at the old cast members back in action at Bayside High. This includes Mario Lopez reprising his role as A.C. Slater and Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie Spano. Mark-Paul Gosselaar is also back as Zack Morris, who somehow is now the governor of California and has a son named Mac Morris (played by Mitchell Hoog).

Here's the official synopsis to lay it all out for you:

Saved by the Bell stars Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley reprise their roles as A.C. Slater and Jesse Spano in the first teaser trailer for the beloved sitcom's reboot. California Governor Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) will find himself in trouble for closing too many low-income high schools and then propose that the affected students be sent to the highest-performing schools in the state — including Bayside High. The influx of new students will give the overprivileged Bayside kids a much-needed dose of reality.

For better — or worse — you can watch the newly revealed trailer below, all soundtracked to the Pointer Sisters' "I'm So Excited" (even if you aren't).

Saved by the Bell was written by 30 Rock writer and Great News creator Tracey Wigfield, and it's set to arrive on NBC's new Peacock streaming service. So far, though, there is no firm premiere date.
