HBO Confirms Two 'Euphoria' Special Episodes

BY Allie GregoryPublished Oct 20, 2020

After renewing Season 2 of the popular drug-fuelled teen drama Euphoria, HBO has confirmed plans for a pair of special episodes to tide fans over between Season 1 and shooting the second.

Series star Zendaya also confirmed the series' return on social media last night (October 19). She wrote, "We really missed them. Two special Euphoria episodes coming soon," alongside a photo of the show's Rue and Jules.

The first of the forthcoming special episodes is titled "Trouble Don't Last Always," and is set to air on HBO on December 6 before heading to streaming. The episode will serve as a Christmas special, which sees Zendaya's Rue in the aftermath of her separation from Jules (played by Hunter Schafer).

So far, the network has yet to announce details on the second special episode.

Season 2, meanwhile, has yet to begin production after it was delayed to 2021 over COVID-19 restrictions. The pair of special episodes were shot in keeping with coronavirus safety guidelines.
