Kanye West Docuseries Reportedly Bought by Netflix
Netflix has reportedly bought a Kanye West docuseries by video production crew Clarence "Coodie" Simmons and Chike Ozah, better known as Coodie & Chike, who have produced a handful of West's music videos.

According to Billboard, the series sold for $30 million USD, and it will include more than two decades of footage captured by the filmmakers, though Variety reports that the price tag "is not an accurate figure." Either way, the so-far untitled project is expected to land on the streamer sometime this year.

The documentary is said to include never-before-seen footage covering West's failed presidential bid, his fashion career and the death of his mother, Donda.

So far, it's unclear whether West's divorce from Kim Kardashian will also be covered in the forthcoming series, or if his children will be involved in any way.

Coodie & Chike's Creative Control will co-produce the series with TIME Studios. West did not contribute to the project in a creative sense, but allowed the filmmaking duo unfettered access to his life.

So far, both West and Netflix have yet to comment on the project.
