The Canadian Screen Awards has announced its 2024 nominees, with Little Bird and BlackBerry leading the way.

The Crave series Little Bird, which follows someone taken from her family during the Sixties Scoop, leads the TV category (and the show overall) with 19 nominations. Close behind are Sort Of with 18 and Workin' Moms with 12.

On the film side of things, BlackBerry has 17 nominations. Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person follows with 12, while Infinity Pool has 11. All three of those films are nominated for Best Motion Picture alongside Red Rooms, Richelieu and Solo.

There's also a section of the show for digital media; The Drop and Vivek Shraya's How to Fail as a Pop Star lead that category with five noms each.

The full nominations for the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards can be found here. The event, hosted by Mae Martin, takes place on May 31 and will screen on CBC and CBC Gem.
