Having finally dealt with its voice actor controversy, it'd be a shame to just let The Simpsons die out. As such, the show has been renewed for another two seasons.

The show will get a Season 33 and Season 34, the latter of which will conclude in 2023. At that point, the show will have aired for 757 episodes. The Simpsons remains the longest-running primetime scripted show in TV history, beating out Gunsmoke during its 29th season.

"Everyone at The Simpsons is thrilled to be renewed once more, and we are planning lots of big surprises," Matt Groening said in a statement. "Homer will lose a hair, Milhouse will get contact lenses, and Bart will celebrate his 10th birthday for the 33rd time."

The Simpsons is currently in the midst of its 32nd season.
