After teasing the arrival of a "visual poem" on Netflix, we now know what the Lonely Island have in store for us. It's a project called The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience, and it's arrived as both a film and a standalone album.

The project imagines an alternate 1988 where baseball legends Mark McGwire and Jose Canseco decided to make a rap album. Andy Samberg plays Canseco, while Akiva Schaffer takes the role of McGwire.

"In 1988, Major League Baseball was set aflame by Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire, aka The Bash Brothers," the film's opening title card reads. "They were known for their towering home runs and mind-bending play, but what many don't know… Is that they recorded an album… of raps."

The film portion was directed by Mike Diva and Schaffer, and it's now available to watch on Netflix.

But since streaming music on Netflix isn't really a thing, you can can listen to the The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience standalone album here. It comes featuring the likes of Sia, HAIM and Maya Rudolph.
