Since Flight of the Conchords left the air in 2009, Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie have kept busy with touring and prospective film projects and new material. Now, the duo are teasing plans to return with a new TV special.
Speaking with ET, Clement said, "We're going to film a little something this year. We're going to shoot an hour thing."
A spokesperson for HBO told A.V. Club that "the deals are not fully in place. We'll hopefully have news soon and will be back in touch."
Clement and McKenzie delivered two albums as Flight of the Conchords, releasing a self-titled full-length in 2008 and I Told You I Was Freaky in 2009. The pair are set to tour the UK in March, during which they will premiere new material.
