After making history at the Juno Awards earlier this month, WondaGurl has announced a new partnership between her Wonderchild label imprint and Red Bull Records.
A press release shares that the Grammy-nominated, Brampton-bred producer and exec will work with Red Bull Records to sign new talent as part of the partnership. The first artist to sign to the label is Toronto's JUGGER, who will deliver a full-length project executive produced by WondaGurl later this year.
"It has been a pleasure working with the Red Bull Records team this past year in developing my first artist, JUGGER," said WondaGurl in a statement. "[Kenny 'Tick' Salcido], [Gelareh 'G' Rouzbehani], [Greg Hammer], and the rest of the team have given me the time and space to create. As an artist and producer, that means everything. I look forward to the release of our first project together and everything to come with this relationship."
At the 2021 Juno Awards, WondaGurl captured the Jack Richardson Producer of the Year award, becoming the first Black woman to receive the honours in the Junos' 50-year history.
