Witch Announce North American Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jan 8, 2009

Dinosaur Jr. front-man and all around indie rock legend J Mascis has also spent some time beating the skins for Witch, a Sabbath-inspired metal project he shares with members of English freak folk troupe Feathers. Last year, Witch released Paralyzed, their second album for Tee Pee Records, and now it's time to get out on the road.

Starting in Toronto on February 20, the band will kick off just over a week of touring, with another Canadian date in Montreal and the rest in the eastern U.S. Joining Witch are their label-mates, San Diego psych greats Earthless, who also feature a notable drummer in Mario Rubalcaba, a former professional skateboarder who has played with Rocket From The Crypt, Hot Snakes and the Black Heart Procession.

The bands released a split seven-inch on Volcom Entertainment last year.

2/20 Toronto, ON - Horseshoe Tavern
2/21 Montreal, ON - Les Saints
2/22 Providence, RI - AS220
