Winnipeg Folk Festival Gets Fleet Foxes, Emmylou Harris, Orville Peck for 2023 Edition

The War on Drugs, Vance Joy, Rufus Wainwright, William Prince, Pierre Kwenders, Rich Aucoin and more will also perform

Winnipeg Folk Festival has announced details of its 2023 event, which is due to take place at Birds Hill Provincial Park from July 6 to 9.

Leading the pack of this year's lineup are Vance Joy, the War on Drugs, Emmylou Harris, Fleet Foxes (making their Manitoba debut), Orville Peck, KT Tunstall, Rufus Wainwright and Charley Crockett.

They'll be joined by Sierra Ferrell, Faye Webster, William Prince, Panda Bear & Sonic Boom, Fruit Bats, DJ Shub (presenting War Club), Adia Victoria, Etran De L'Aïr, SYML, Field Guide, Aysanabee, Kelsey Waldon, Black Opry Revue and S.G. Goodman.

Further appearances include Andrina Turenne, Arny Margret, Balaklava Blues, Bella White, Black Belt Eagle Scout, Buffalo Nichols, Buenrostro, Cat Clyde, Cedric Watson & Dirk Powell, Charlotte Cornfield, Dongyang Gozupa, Evan Redsky, Finjan, Genticorum, Georgia Harmer, Ginalina, Fire & Smoke Fontine, Green Fools Theatre, Joe Rainey, Julian Taylor, Kacy & Clayton, Ko Shin Moon, Leon Timbo, Loudon Wainwright III, Lowdown Brass Band, Mariel Buckley, Matt Foster, Myriam Gendron, Namgar, Nicolette & the Nobodies, Nora Brown, Pierre Kwenders, Rich Aucoin, Roberta Lea, Ruploops, Susan O'Neill, Two Runner, Witch Prophet and the Wackydoodle Dance Party.

UPDATE (5/1, 10:35 a.m. ET): Organizers have unveiled the daily schedules for the Big Blue @ Night Stage and the Main Stage, with headliners Fleet Foxes, Emmy Lou Harris, Orville Peck and the War on Drugs closing out their respective nights. See the full schedule here.

"We are very excited about this year's lineup," said Winnipeg Folk Festival artistic director Chris Frayer. "It highlights our artistic vision of presenting a strong, diverse range of artists that will resonate with our audience."

Frayer continued: "We have been trying for a few years to land some of these artists and this year everything lined up just right to make that happen. I want festivalgoers to come away with a new appreciation for the music they know and love, and a revived list of discovered artists to add to their playlists."

Festival passes are on sale now. Adult day tickets start at $85 and Tier 1 weekend passes are $248. You can get yours here.
