William Fitzsimmons "Tide Pulls from the Moon" (video)
Published Feb 09, 2011Like many musicians, William Fitzsimmons seems to enjoy kicking off his day with a good jam session. The early-morning intro to his "Tide Pulls from the Moon" clip finds the bearded indie troubadour taking in an eyeful of the sun's golden rays before walking back into his house to play his acoustic guitar.
Joined by friends on banjo and xylophone, the performer then heads out a long walk before hitting up a recording studio, where he finds a string section laying down some gentle bow work on his song. The clip is capped with him walking underneath a beachside bridge as the tide roars behind him. It's a very literal ending to the otherwise musician-focused affair.
The tune appears on Fitzsimmons's upcoming Nettwerk release Gold in the Shadow, which is due out March 22.
You can catch him on his upcoming North American tour. Check below for Canadian dates, and click here for the rest of the show listings in the U.S.
