Arena-approved hardcore players Turnstile and Major League Baseball's Baltimore Orioles (their on-field play, anyway) continue to be two of the biggest things going from Maryland, so it's only right the band got the chance to throw the first pitch at a ball game in their hometown.

Yesterday evening (August 8), Turnstile took the field at Camden Yards for the honour before the top-seeded Orioles took on the Houston Astros. As seen below, guitarist Pat McCrory was the member of the four-piece chosen to deliver the ceremonial throw.

Asked if the team's play had sparked any songwriting, McCrory shared, "Their season right now is inspiring some songs," with bassist Franz Lyons adding, "We honestly might have a demo already somewhere waiting, you just have them get ahold of us."

Below, you'll find some fan-shot footage from a listener who attended the Orioles game purely in celebration of the latest TURNSTILE LOVE CONNECTION. This is what a successful cultural crossover looks like — compared to, say, hiring Kid Rock.

Watch Turnstile's time on the field below, and ask yourself, was their effort among musicians' worst-ever first pitches?
