Taylor Swift is at 30 Rock this week for her upcoming Saturday Night Live appearance, and she stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (October 3) — only to be bombarded with surprise footage of herself after having laser eye surgery.
Fallon, apparently in cahoots with Swift's own mother, premiered never-before-seen footage of Swift in a drugged-up, post-surgery state that is hilarious to watch (at least for everyone else).
Stunned at her own behaviour, Swift was left mostly speechless by the video, which sees her getting very emotional over a banana.
The clip sees her sporting very stylish goggles taped to her face, as she looks for a post-surgery snack. She attempts to rip a banana out of a bunch, but begins crying when she realizes "it wasn't the one I wanted" and that it now "doesn't have a head."
Swift eventually settles into bed with her chosen banana, but her mom warns her not to fall asleep eating a banana. Swift doesn't miss a beat, responding, "I'm not asleep, my mind is alive!"
