For those looking to take in some of percussionist extraordinaire John McEntire's splendiferous fills, you may be interested to know that playing in the Sea & Cake and Tortoise, and producing every band from Trans Am to Smog to the Fiery Furnaces, aren't the only jobs that McEntire has going.
It turns out he also oversees an intergalactic courier service, well, just barely. Or at least he does in "Space Package," the third episode of Exclaim! TV's Dizzy Playground, featuring the always eccentric Spookey Ruben.
This story involves Lincoln Berger-Meele (Spookey), an intergalactic courier on a mission, as he earnestly tries to complete a delivery to the mysterious O.T. Biggs at his rented two-bedroom apartment on Earth. Hounded by a technologically inept, mistrusting boss, Hugo Van Lopez (McEntire), and thwarted by a pirate and queen in a rent-controlled ice palace on a planet of frost, Lincoln plays out a drama that would make anyone fear red liquids.
