The Washboard Union Make Major Label Debut with New EP

Twangling Vancouver country crew the Washboard Union are now signed to Warner Music Canada/Slaight Music, and they're preparing to make their major label debut this summer. They've got an EP called In My Bones due out on July 10.

The six-song collection was produced by Trey Bruce, a Nashville-based country musician who has written songs for the likes of Faith Hill, Randy Travis and more. The core members of the Washboard Union ended up recording the album with a crew of established Nashville players.

"We are over the moon to call these icons of music our partners," the band said in a statement about the label deal. "This is an incredibly talented team of people who literally eat, sleep and breathe music, what band wouldn't want to call that family their home."

While we take some issue with their use of "literally," the group certainly seem to be riding high at the moment.
