Wale Collaborating with Jerry Seinfeld for 'The Album About Nothing'?

Back in 2008, Wale dropped his Seinfeld-themed mixtape The Mixtape About Nothing, which both referenced and sampled the '90s sitcom. If a new video is to be believed, Jerry Seinfeld is now ready to return the favour and properly team up with the MMG rapper for another release.

A new video interview with the comedian, which you can see below, has him discussing how Wale and DJ Omega approached him about the project, tentatively titled The Album About Nothing.

"I got the call from Wale and DJ Omega here, they called me to come in, I had to be here. If I'm going to do this, this is the guys I'm going to do it with. And now I did it, and that's it," Seinfeld said seated inside a recording studio.

He also jokes that he should excel at spitting ("Hip-hop's words, right? I do words!"), but it seems, if this is in fact legit, as if he'll be penning verses for Wale to tackle. Apparently, Seinfeld's wife is also a big Wale fan, so it all feels like a natural fit.

This wouldn't be the first time a Seinfeld star assisted the proceedings. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who played Elaine Benes on the program, contributed an answering machine message to The Mixtape About Nothing's "The Vacation from Ourselves," improvising, "Don't you think my kids are going to think I'm so cool I'm on this tape, muthafuckaaaaa? Word Up."

The proposed Album About Nothing would be the third entry in Wale's Seinfeld series, after the initial tape and 2010's More About Nothing mix.
