Vision Eternel is once again back with new music for Valentine's Day. The New Brunswick-based musical project helmed by Alexander Julien continues its trend of releasing music on February 14 with an unreleased single from the group's archives, "Sometimes in Absence."

Tense, hurried acoustic strums define the self-described "melogaze" (a "blend of ambient, space rock, post-rock, shoegaze, emo and melodrama") of "Sometimes in Absence," which was originally recorded in 2010 as part of the 2012 EP The Last Great Torch Song. It remained, however, in Julien's back pocket as a result of missing instrumental contributions, until now.

After receiving further arrangements in 2017 and 2018, the song became "Moments of Absence" which was released on Vision Eternel's most recent release, the 2020 album For Farewell of Nostalgia
