Victime Premiere New Single "Dodo-prémonition"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Oct 18, 2018

Quebec three-piece Victime released their first album La femme taupe earlier this year, and now the noise-punk outfit are back with a brand new single.

"Dodo-prémonition" blends grunge-y distortion with erratic screeching guitars, channelling the anxieties that inspired the song.

"'Dodo-prémonition' was written a long-ish time ago," the band tell Exclaim! In fact, they had it ready to go by the time their record release party rolled around.

"We really wanted to have new songs in the bank," the group explain. "We're always evolving, personally and as a band, and the best way to make people witness this change is to always have new songs and ideas in our shows. This is the song's inception, but actually also what it's about: the desire to move on, and that maybe it is through renewal that we can finally do it."
