Modern folk hero Vic Chesnutt only recorded one major label LP in his prolific 20-year recording career. That LP was About to Choke, released in 1996 by Capitol Records/EMI, and come June 15, it will be reissued by Plain Recordings on both CD and 180-gram vinyl.
As Pitchfork reports, the album was mixed by Bob Mould, and was the fifth solo album of Chesnutt's career. There is no word if any bonus material will be added to the reissue.
Chesnutt passed away on December 25 surrounded by his friends and family after overdosing on muscle relaxants.
