Vancouver's Sandstorm are getting set to clobber us with a new album next month, but in the meantime, the metal-riffing trio are showing it off some via a new video. The clip is for album track "Death Is Near," and you can watch it now.

As Sandstorm tell us, it's "probably the best music video since Judas Priest's 'Hot Rockin'.'" But instead of hitting the gym and lighting their gear on fire, the band take to the woods where they encounter some pretty sweet mystical orbs — not to mention some purposely cheesed-out video effects.

Watch the video for "Death Is Near" below.

As for Sandstorm's upcoming album, it's called Time to Strike, and it's set for release in early February.

The band also have a few live dates coming up, including a show on February 9 in Victoria and another in Vancouver on April 20.
