Singer-songwriter/DJ/producer Loig Morin has released a newly remastered version of "Tu m'avais pourtant dit" from his 2021 album Printemps, as well as a live performance video filmed at Vancouver's historic Columbia Theatre.

"Tu m'avais pourtant dit" celebrates the re-release of Printemps — the fourth album from the French ex-pat, who moved to Vancouver in 2010 — on streaming platforms. When in the throes of early pandemic depression, the polymath decided to stop drinking and instead delve into deeper introspection than ever before, working day and night to amalgamate all of his diverse musical references into his first-ever entirely self-made project.

The resultant eight-track collection is the first in a seasonal series of four albums. It was recorded, produced and mixed at Morin's extensive home studio, Loig's Music Lab, and features collaborations with local musicians Maude G.L. and Jill Barber.

"Tu m'avais pourtant dit" reworks the original opening track of Printemps. The accompanying Marc De Vinci-directed clip sees the artist intimately perform the pulsing electropop opus in an empty room at one of Vancouver's oldest venues. Located in New Westminster, the Columbia opened in 1927 as the province's first atmospheric theatre.
