Opening the festival at eight p.m., its a shame the Unsparing Sea, all the way from Cleveland, played for a total of 18 people. Their dense heavy compositions made the air feel heavy as their live performance featured a slew of healthy ideas: tap dancing, sawing, accordions, drumming on stop signs, and wrist wrestling the Theremin made for a great show. But some may have been misled after their set; the songs were underdeveloped and needed a lot more work before Sigur Rós fans start to take notice. The potential, however, is undeniable.
